Where to go out in Baqueira
A good day in Baqueira needn’t finish when you take your skis off. There’s time for a drink overlooking the slopes, some tapas with friends or a comfortable seat somewhere warm. And if you’ve still got energy after dinner, you can leave the dancing until later.
Staying at the Hotel Montarto puts you within easy reach of the bars in Baqueira 1500. This guide brings together eight village venues within walking distance, plus the Moët Winter Lounge as an on-piste extra to enjoy during your ski day.
Remember that evenings here follow a Spanish rhythm. Take your time over dinner, as the late-night crowd will still be getting ready while you’re finishing pudding!

Baqueira Bar 1500
A sociable terrace bar for swapping stories as the lifts wind down.
Atmosphere: Lively, informal après-ski; terrace drinks, music and occasional dancing during DJ sessions.
Best time to go: 15:00-17:30
From Hotel Montarto: Allow approximately 5-10 minutes towards the main lift base.
This is an easy place to begin your evening before you’ve even changed out of your ski gear. Set above the resort offices at Baqueira 1500, the bar brings together people finishing their day on the mountain, making it a useful meeting point when your group has taken different routes home. The terrace is the main attraction on a sunny afternoon, with mountain views and plenty of ski-day conversation. Music adds to the atmosphere, and the resort’s published winter programme has included weekend DJ's or live performances. Come here when you fancy some company and a little energy before heading back to the Montarto to freshen up for dinner.
Croak Bar
A friendly village bar for après-ski drinks and lively evenings among locals.
Atmosphere: Casual and chatty after skiing, becoming a lively local haunt after dinner.
Best time to go: 16:00-18:00 for après-ski; 22:00-01:00 for evening drinks.
From Hotel Montarto: A short village walk to the Marimanha building in Baqueira 1500.
Croak Bar is the sort of place that can earn two visits in the same day. Stop on your way back from skiing for a drink, swap stories about the afternoon’s runs and enjoy a little time off your feet before returning to the Montarto. Later, after dinner, it takes on a livelier character as locals gather and the conversation gets going. It’s a good choice when you fancy a sociable evening with a local feel, without committing to a nightclub. They serve tapas if anyone needs something to nibble, but drinks are the reason to include it in your evening plans. Your map may say Tamarro Restaurant: Look for Croak, spelled 'Croack' on the bar’s own website.
Brooklyn 1500
An easygoing village bar with IPA on tap for a refreshing après-ski stop.
Atmosphere: Casual and sociable; a relaxed beer-and-chat stop after skiing.
Best time to go: 16:00-18:30; alternatively, 21:30-23:00 after dinner.
From Hotel Montarto: A short walk within Baqueira 1500, towards the Saumet building.
If a freshly poured IPA is your idea of the right way to finish a ski day, put Brooklyn 1500 on your list. The draught IPA is the tip here, making it a tempting stop when you fancy something hoppy whilst comparing notes on the afternoon’s skiing. Although Brooklyn is also known for its burgers, it works as a straightforward bar stop: Pull up a seat, order a drink and enjoy a little downtime with your group. It’s a handy choice before returning to the Montarto to change, or for a drink after an earlier dinner. Ask what’s currently on tap, as the beer selection may change during the season.
Pecado
A smart village spot for excellent wine, memorable olives and Spanish cured ham.
Atmosphere: Contemporary and sociable; suited to sitting with wine, sharing nibbles and chatting.
Best time to go: 17:00-19:30 or 21:30-23:30, when open.
From Hotel Montarto: A short stroll to Plaza Fórum, in the Mauberme building.
Some places stay in your memory because of one surprisingly good detail. At Pecado, the olives alone could give you a reason to return. Pair them with a great glass of wine and a few slices from the ham selection, and you have a lovely way to ease into the evening. The setting has a more contemporary feel, making it a welcome addition to a week of mountain bars. Come after skiing if you fancy wine and something to nibble, or return after dinner for an unhurried drink. This is one to enjoy at your own pace: Settle in, ask for a wine recommendation and give those olives the attention they deserve.

Wine Bar by Viña Pomal
A welcoming wine bar pairing Spanish wines with tapas beside Hotel Montarto.
Atmosphere: Relaxed and seated; ideal for conversation, sharing plates and a quieter drink.
Best time to go: 18:00-20:00; alternatively 21:30-22:45 after an early dinner.

For wine and tapas without making an expedition of it, Wine Bar by Viña Pomal is a particularly handy choice. Its connection with the Rioja producer gives wine a central role, while tapas and small plates make it easy to order something to share. Think of this as a place to settle into the evening: Choose a glass, compare notes on the day and let someone else decide what to order next. It suits couples and small groups looking for conversation, especially before dinner. The hotel lists closing time as 23:00, with the kitchen finishing at 22:30, so leave enough time if you’re coming over for a late bite.
Piano Bar Montarto
A comfortable hotel lounge for an unhurried drink after a mountain day.
Atmosphere: Cosy, seated and usually conversation-friendly; entertainment can make selected evenings livelier.
Best time to go: 18:00-20:00 or 21:30-23:00 subject to that evening’s bar service.
From Hotel Montarto: No distance as you’re already there!
Sometimes the best evening plan is the one that requires the least organising! The Montarto’s Piano Bar is a comfortable option when you fancy a drink with friends but your legs have already done quite enough for one day. The lounge setting lends itself to sitting down, chatting and enjoying a slower finish to the evening. It also makes a convenient meeting point before dinner, particularly if some of your group have been skiing while others have spent the afternoon relaxing. Don’t assume that the name means a pianist performs every night: Ask reception what’s happening during your stay. Choose this for an easy evening close to your room, with no snowy walk home.
Pub Tuc Nere
A sociable music pub at Hotel Tuc Blanc for drinks and dancing.
Atmosphere: Informal and music-led, with drinks, conversation and dancing as the evening develops.
Best time to go: 22:30-00:30 on confirmed opening nights (check current hours locally).
From Hotel Montarto: Approximately 3-5 minutes to Hotel Tuc Blanc, opposite the main lift station.
Fancy heading out after dinner without venturing far from the Montarto? Pub Tuc Nere, at the nearby Hotel Tuc Blanc, gives you another option for drinks and music within an easy stroll. The tourist board identifies it as the hotel’s music pub, while ski guides describe an evening that can move from chatting over a drink to getting on the dance-floor. It’s worth considering when your group fancies something more animated after a leisurely meal. Take your time getting ready, then check with the hotel what’s happening that evening: Opening nights, music and access for visiting guests should be confirmed locally. With the Montarto close by, everyone can make their own decision about when to call it a night.
Tiffany’s Baqueira
Baqueira’s established late-night club for dancing when dinner is comfortably behind you.
Atmosphere: Loud, lively and focused on dancing; a proper late-night outing.
Best time to go: Approximately 00:30-03:00 on confirmed club nights.
From Hotel Montarto: Approximately 2-5 minutes, around the Baqueira 1500 entrance area.
If your group’s idea of a good ski holiday includes a night on the dance floor, Tiffany’s is the local name to investigate. It has a long association with Baqueira nightlife, and DJ Alberto Andreu has a winter residency mixing urban rhythms with dance music. This is the option to save for after dinner, when you’ve had time to change and decide whether tomorrow really needs to begin with the first lift. Give the evening time to develop; arriving early won’t necessarily show you the place at its liveliest. Before setting out, ask reception to confirm that night’s opening, admission arrangements and programme, as the available listings do not establish a reliable forthcoming winter schedule.

Best time to go: 12:30-15:00, allowing time for your onward journey.
From Hotel Montarto: Not a practical walk from Hotel Montarto. Visit while skiing, or arrange transport to Orri car park and walk from there.
For a little holiday indulgence, build the Moët Winter Lounge into a day on the mountain. Sitting at around 1,800 metres in the Orri sector, beside the Jorge Jordana chairlift, it combines a chalet setting with the obvious appeal of champagne and snowy views. The terrace is the draw when the sun is out, while the indoor dining space offers a more sheltered stop. Make this a planned lunch or daytime treat, allowing time to get back before the lifts close. Indoor meals require advance booking. Non-skiers can reach it on foot from Orri car park, but that should not be confused with walking up from the Montarto - Transport to Orri needs arranging separately.
